Office Administrator

Hello! My name is Maria. I was born in El Salvador. I was adopted at two years old and brought to the United States. I grew up in California and never would have imagined I would leave… well maybe for a singing career. As a little girl, I wanted to be a famous singer like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys, or Leona Lewis. I sang every chance I got and it was a bonus if I had an audience. Once, while waiting for a plane to board, I stood in the middle of the waiting area, with my CD player in hand, and gave a free concert. Were the people entertained? Maybe not, but in my head, it was the best concert ever given by an 8 year old. 

When it came to work, I found a passion that sparked my interest… Office Administration! I have always enjoyed helping others and handling multiple projects at once. The joy I feel when I have been able to solve someone's problem, or find a solution to an ongoing conundrum, is indescribable. As I have grown into this career path, I realized that in order to continue growth, I needed to work in a place that would support my desire to be successful. This is what brought me to Odyssey. When I came across Odyssey, or when Odyssey found me, I felt as though I found a piece missing from my career puzzle. I am happy to be here and excited to grow with all the wonderful staff at Odyssey. 

When I'm not at work, I still roll the windows down and sing in my car, but I have found other activities that I love. I enjoy going on walks, hiking, and a lot of adventuring. I love taking impulsive car rides to the unknown. I find the most joy when I am able to spend time outside with my kids. When I'm not out and about with my kiddos or at work, I like to relax at home. Remote in one hand and coffee on the other.
