Kimberly Laurie, M.S. SLP-CCC
Speech Therapist
Kimberly grew up in Salmon, ID, a small mountain town known for its ranchers and farmers. As the daughter of a race horse jockey, naturally she rode horses and rodeo-ed from a young age. Kim roped, goat tied and competed in various events throughout her school years. Although rodeo was a passion, Kim was not meant to ride the rodeo circuit for a living, so she relied on her other passion, talking.
As a young child, Kim was described as very social in school, but not really interested in academics at her parent teacher conferences. Luckily for Kim, that was a positive, as she grew up to be a Speech Language Pathologist, graduating from Idaho State University with her Master's Degree in 2000. Kim has worked in pediatrics for 24 years serving children in various settings including, outpatient clinics, the hospital, early intervention (in home) and schools.
Kim has a drive for working with children with communication delays because she participated in speech therapy as a child. She also has a special place in her heart for children with cleft lip and palate because she was born with a cleft lip that was repaired in infancy. What could be a better job than playing and talking all day!!
Educational Background:
