Emily Frevert, PT
Physical Therapist
Emily grew up on a horse and cattle farm in the southeast where she discovered her passion and love for animals. She lived her childhood and most of her adult life in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Virgina, Texas, California, and now, Idaho, moving here in June 2024.
Experiences with her sister growing up and sending litters of kittens and puppies to “school” must have prepared her to homeschool her own children, triplets plus one, from K to 12th grades. They enjoyed being a part of the Classical Conversations homeschool program and now her children are all young adults, starting adventures of their own. Having two children on the autism spectrum (boy and girl) and another child with dyslexia and dysgraphia, provided a unique role for Emily to experience being a therapy mom as well as a therapist. Finding time and strategies to implement home programs, research alternative supplements and nutrition options, provide sensory diets, implement zones of regulation and build lots and lots of patience has given her a unique perspective to share with her clients and families.
She has always been pulled into the rehabilitation field since high school and learned more about pediatric PT while volunteering at a pediatric hospital on Emory University’s campus while attending college. It was an easy decision to know this is where she was meant to be. Now having the experience of being a pediatric physical therapist for 25 years, she would not change a thing about her decisions, including her transition from Southerner to Idahoan.
Back in the day, she has been known to stir things up on the basketball court and on the drums, but most days you will find her enjoying her three dogs, two golden retriever siblings and a golden doodle, cats, bearded dragon and gardening in her spare time.
